All the PubMed Central (PMC) Open Access articles are available in the BioC format. This provides a large number of full text research articles for text mining and information retrieval research. BioC is a simple format designed for straightforward text processing.

The studies and research articles available through the NCBI's databases, such as PubMed and PubMed Central, undergo a rigorous peer-review process and are typically published in reputable scientific journals. Some are, some aren't. That's the nature of science. A certain percent of studies will be proven wrong.
